Christina O’Rourke

Christina is a Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner (RANP) and leads the Dermatology nursing team at Maynooth Medical Skin and Laser. She has completed a Masters in Advanced Practice Nursing, at Trinity College Dublin, and is also a registered Nurse Prescriber with a Graduate Diploma in Dermatology Nursing from University College Dublin.
Christina's clinical practice is grounded in over 20 years of experience within the acute hospital system, where she worked alongside leading Consultant Dermatologists, Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgeons. She further honed her expertise as part of the specialist surgical team at Hair Restoration Blackrock (HRBR). Christina continues to work at the Dermatology Department at St James’s Hospital delivering advanced practice service for chronic skin disease.
She holds a Level 7 qualification in Dermal Filler administration and a BTEC Certificate in Laser applications, with training undertaken in the UK and Europe. Committed to upholding the highest professional standards, Christina is the current Chairperson of DANAI (Dermatology Aesthetic Nurses Association of Ireland), where she actively contributes to the development of best-practice guidelines in aesthetic nursing.
Dr. Christopher O’Rourke
With over four decades of experience in family practice, Dr. Christopher O'Rourke delivers his extensive medical expertise at the state-of-the-art Maynooth Medical Skin and Laser Clinic.
He specialises in providing timely and accessible dermatological care, offering a vital gateway for the management of skin conditions.
Dr. O'Rourke is highly skilled in medical dermatology and cutaneous minor surgery. He has received formal training and accreditation in dermatoscopic mole examination from Cardiff University's Department of Dermatology. His professional standing is further demonstrated by his past role as Treasurer and committee member of The Primary Care Surgical Association (PCSA).
In addition to his role as Medical Director at Maynooth Medical Skin and Laser Clinic, Dr. O'Rourke provides expert diagnosis and management for a wide range of skin conditions at the adjacent Kingsbry Medical Centre. He facilitates seamless patient care by collaborating closely with hospital-based Consultant Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons to ensure the most effective treatment pathway. He welcomes both self-referrals and referrals from medical colleagues.
